Cookie Policy

Last updated 25 September 2026.

Short version: pdfsanitize.com sets no cookies, and there are no analytics, advertising or tracking tools on the site. The only things PDFSanitize stores in your browser are two small items that make PDFSanitize Pro work. This page explains them. It forms part of the Privacy Policy.

Cookies

PDFSanitize doesn't set any cookies: not for analytics, advertising, preferences or sign-in (there are no accounts). Because nothing non-essential is stored, there's no cookie banner to accept or decline.

Local storage used by PDFSanitize Pro

Local storage is a small store in your browser that belongs to this website. Unlike cookies, it isn't sent to our server with each request. PDFSanitize Pro uses it for two items, and the free tools use none.

NameWhat it holdsWhyHow long
pdfsanitize.pro.licenseYour license key and when it was last checked. So PDFSanitize Pro opens without asking for the key every time. It is checked again about once a day.Until you clear your browser data, or the key stops being valid.
pdfsanitize.pro.profilesThe names and settings of cleaning profiles you save.So your own profiles are there next time.Until you delete the profiles or clear your browser data.

Neither item ever contains your PDFs, file names or what the tools found in them. The license key is sent to our server only to check that it's valid.

Other websites

When you buy PDFSanitize Pro, you complete the payment on the Dodo Payments checkout page, which is their website. Dodo Payments may use cookies there to process the payment and prevent fraud, under their own cookie and privacy policies.

How to remove it

You can delete this site's stored data at any time in your browser's settings, usually under “Cookies and site data” or “Site settings” for pdfsanitize.com. Private or incognito windows forget it when you close them. If you remove the license item, activate PDFSanitize Pro again with your key; see the help guide if you need a hand.

Changes

If PDFSanitize ever starts using cookies or similar technologies, this page will be updated before that happens, and you'll be asked where your consent is required.
