In short
PDFSanitize processes supported PDF operations locally in your browser. The documents you check, view, edit, clean, flatten or redact are not uploaded to our servers. The site has no accounts and currently uses no analytics, advertising or cookies.
Document processing
- Every tool — from the PDF Privacy Checker to Redact PDF — reads the file you choose directly from your device and processes it in your browser tab.
- The file, its name, its contents and what the tools find in it are not sent to us.
- As an extra safeguard, every page includes a browser security policy that stops it from making network connections from the page, and from loading images or code from other sites.
- Files aren't stored by the site. Edited or cleaned copies exist in your browser's memory until you download them or leave the page.
Website requests
Loading the site itself works like any website: your browser requests the pages, styles and scripts, and the servers that host them may keep standard technical logs, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver and protect the site. PDFSanitize doesn't add tracking to those requests, and no information from your documents is included in them.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
PDFSanitize currently sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising services. If that changes, this page will be updated first, and document contents, file names and metadata will never be included.
Payments
PDFSanitize Pro purchasing is not currently available. No payment details are collected. When purchasing opens, this page will be updated to explain what that involves before anything can be bought.
